Unión Magdalena's supporters rose to their feet, but Cruz Lasa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. That made the score 2-0 in the 31 minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Unión Magdalena's Lucas Montesino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelio Nazario narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Montesino struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Aurelio Nazario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Unión Magdalena. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ladio Cañucal was the one to do the kick off. Ladio Cañucal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignatius Guardia having to interfere. Aurelio Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Montesino in the 73rd minute of play.
