The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Don Chimbo CF booed when Yaichi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeu Grijalba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cordairo Sobejano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xaiver Erauso having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Yaichi FC's Tadeu Grijalba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oidor Malet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Ugia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Oidor Malet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oidor Malet stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Ugia's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute, Mario Soria made a precise shot to the right of Xaiver Erauso. Yaichi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Oidor Malet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Cavadilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Tadeu Grijalba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oidor Malet having to interfere. Oidor Malet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Ugia in the 39th minute of play. Tadeu Grijalba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benjamin Ugia in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oidor Malet saved Don Chimbo CF from getting behind. Yaichi FC's Tadeu Grijalba got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Don Chimbo CF's goalkeeper Oidor Malet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Benjamin Ugia made a kick off. Tadeu Grijalba kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Montrelle Carces during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Montrelle Carces hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tadeu Grijalba blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oidor Malet having to make a save. With his leg Oidor Malet managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Yaichi FC's Benjamin Ugia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Cordairo Sobejano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Xaiver Erauso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xaiver Erauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Qwinton Corniero in the 64th minute of the match. Benjamin Ugia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Oidor Malet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Benjamin Ugia came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Yaichi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Ugia couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Benjamin Ugia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Yaichi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Benjamin Ugia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oidor Malet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tadeu Grijalba took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oidor Malet. Oidor Malet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Benjamin Ugia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Oidor Malet when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Benjamin Ugia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Don Chimbo CF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Yaichi FC had controlled the match.
