Lain Olaondo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Maquina del Mal defense, Vicemte Mezcano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maule Caldevilla. The Maquina del Mal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maule Caldevilla should have stopped the shot. 24 minutes into the game, Maquina del Mal's Jerardo Ugalde nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lain Olaondo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. If Jerardo Ugalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Martino Calle got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jerardo Ugalde could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Lain Olaondo made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Maquina del Mal's Obano Angosto got a free kick in the 40th minute. Maule Caldevilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mergildo Andujar in the 42nd minute of the match. Mergildo Andujar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Maule Caldevilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maquina del Mal's Kevin Valmayor got a free kick in the 47th minute. After some careless play in the Maquina del Mal defense, Vicemte Mezcano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maule Caldevilla. The Maquina del Mal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maule Caldevilla should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vicemte Mezcano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerardo Ugalde in the 55th minute of play forced FClub America Cartago S.A's goalkeeper Lain Olaondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lain Olaondo came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Maquina del Mal's Martino Calle. But to his dismay, Martino Calle quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Senin Espoa during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martino Calle in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lain Olaondo saved FClub America Cartago S.A from getting behind. After a rather tough play, FClub America Cartago S.A's Kepa Mesia got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 91st minute Jerardo Ugalde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lain Olaondo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jerardo Ugalde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lain Olaondo having to interfere.
