After 4 minutes, Kepa Mesia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FClub America Cartago S.A and the Araca players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Araca booed when FClub America Cartago S.A was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kepa Mesia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Araca's Hitz Bracero in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FClub America Cartago S.A's goalie prevented a goal. Hitz Bracero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hitz Bracero in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lain Olaondo saved FClub America Cartago S.A from getting behind. Lain Olaondo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hitz Bracero in the 26th minute of the match. After having played for 28 minutes, Natal Taramona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natal Taramona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hitz Bracero in the 29th minute of play forced FClub America Cartago S.A's goalkeeper Lain Olaondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Araca's Natal Taramona got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hitz Bracero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Natal Taramona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Lain Olaondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FClub America Cartago S.A's Lain Olaondo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natal Taramona in the 38th minute of play. Hitz Bracero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lain Olaondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Hitz Bracero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lain Olaondo having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hitz Bracero in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lain Olaondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vicemte Mezcano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicemte Mezcano to make the kick off. Mergildo Andujar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brion Zubizarrieta having to interfere. FClub America Cartago S.A's Kepa Mesia got his second yellow card of the match in the 59th minute. The referee ordered Kepa Mesia off the ground. The audience thought a goal was coming when Natal Taramona got free with Lain Olaondo in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 63 played minutes FClub America Cartago S.A got a freekick which was hit by Vicemte Mezcano. Hitz Bracero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Lain Olaondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mano Serrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natal Taramona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lain Olaondo having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Araca's Hitz Bracero dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 90th minute, Natal Taramona left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Araca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Xaime Cerdeira kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Natal Taramona spun around in front of the goal 94 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of FClub America Cartago S.A's goal. When the final whistle sounded Araca left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FClub America Cartago S.A.
