Spectators: 7561 (Terracing: 5672, Seating: 1738, VIP seats: 151) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Teobaldo Maya kicked off to start the match. Doriqui's Victorio Arcaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Varlett in the 5th minute of play. Bidari Ferrero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teobaldo Maya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bidari Ferrero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teobaldo Maya, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Pedro Varlett's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Arcaya read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Fidele Machicao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doriqui's supporters rose to their feet, but Fidele Machicao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bidari Ferrero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Enol Verdenosa's late challenge caught a Doriqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enol Verdenosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Sporting Bogotá getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Enol Verdenosa hit a great ball. Teobaldo Maya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Bidari Ferrero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fidele Machicao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Pedro Varlett kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Victorio Arcaya. That made the score 1-0 in the 44 minute of play. The supporters of Sporting Bogotá booed when Doriqui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teobaldo Maya didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 48th minute Fidele Machicao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bidari Ferrero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

In the 53rd minute, Fidele Machicao made a precise shot to the right of Bidari Ferrero. Sporting Bogotá's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Teobaldo Maya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bidari Ferrero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teobaldo Maya in the 59th minute of the match. Doriqui's Fidele Machicao got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cordarius Limon hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 73rdth minute of the game Teobaldo Maya who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting Bogotá's Bidari Ferrero was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Teobaldo Maya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Teobaldo Maya got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teobaldo Maya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bidari Ferrero having to interfere. Doriqui's Victorio Arcaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Uxio Aranguren in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting Bogotá's zone, Fidele Machicao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bidari Ferrero came out of the goal and Fidele Machicao tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Doriqui players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
