Matxin Amilburu ran back to his position shaking his head. Sugoi Viniegra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Erruki Prieto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sugoi Viniegra in the 22nd minute of play forced Guaviare F.C.'s goalkeeper Erruki Prieto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erruki Prieto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Matxin Amilburu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giro's supporters rose to their feet, but Matxin Amilburu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erruki Prieto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 41 minutes, Orti Casielles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Giro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orti Casielles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sugoi Viniegra made the kick off in the second half. With his leg Erruki Prieto managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Giro's Matxin Amilburu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The audience was convinced that Sugoi Viniegra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erruki Prieto was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. With a little luck, Guaviare F.C.'s Erruki Prieto got control of the ball when Matxin Amilburu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Guaviare F.C.'s zone, Matxin Amilburu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erruki Prieto came out of the goal and Matxin Amilburu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Ceandro Albasolo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Giro's supporters rose to their feet, but Ceandro Albasolo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erruki Prieto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Giro booed when Guaviare F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Azeari Maxenchs didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xaven Velamines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erruki Prieto having to interfere. If Bingen Ucieda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Giro's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
