Fabio Caubilla made a great header on CA Santaguardia's corner, it was just that Media FC's Nahia Cuetos managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 14th minute, Balasi Polledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Media FC's Eliseo Barbajero got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Playo Urtasabel to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in CA Santaguardia's zone, Balasi Polledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordeara Mujica came out of the goal and Balasi Polledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 59 minutes into the game, CA Santaguardia's Gervasio Santotis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nahia Cuetos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Laurendi Abuleta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nahia Cuetos having to interfere. The supporters of Media FC booed when CA Santaguardia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Busto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balasi Polledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Cordeara Mujica made a huge save. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Media FC's goalkeeper Nahia Cuetos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Media FC's Playo Urtasabel managed to work through CA Santaguardia's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Playo Urtasabel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Playo Urtasabel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cordeara Mujica read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. If Transito Alastuey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, CA Santaguardia's Transito Alastuey got a free kick in the 82nd minute. Nahia Cuetos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Santotis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gervasio Santotis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CA Santaguardia's Cordeara Mujica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Playo Urtasabel in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, CA Santaguardia's Ibar Arraña got a free kick in the 96th minute. CA Santaguardia's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
