In the 21st minute Heli Tubia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Romildo Corzana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bladi Candelaria might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Taurino Urtado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bladi Candelaria ran back to his position shaking his head. Ximen Alsedar's late challenge caught a Timba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ximen Alsedar helped the player get up and apologised. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Stefano Sotilla sped through Macondo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Taurino Urtado. When Guifre Sarceada fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Macondo's protests and gave Guifre Sarceada a yellow card for diving instead. If Tab Pazo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tab Pazo struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Taurino Urtado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Timba FC. The Macondo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Timba FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Heli Tubia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Taurino Urtado made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Stefano Sotilla sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute, Stefano Sotilla got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Macondo's Taurino Urtado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Macondo from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marino Muñio during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodrigo Valmaseda might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romildo Corzana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After a rather tough play, Macondo's Marino Muñio got a free kick in the 97th minute. When the match was over Timba FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Macondo throughout the match.
