After 3 played minutes Cabras FC got a freekick which was hit by Paul Aries. In the 5th minute of the match FC Burgos got a corner. Cabras FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ixona Albarez ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Meder Muñana almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cabras FC's Handi Linares did a great save. A collision led to Cabras FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Izotz Rasa hit a great ball. In the 10th minute, one of FC Burgos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Burgos. Haroldo Partearroyo had in the 12thth minute some difficulties stopping Paul Aries's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 25th minute, Xavierlada Benagassi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a rather tough play, Cabras FC's Tancredo Tio got a free kick in the 36th minute. After 41 minutes of play, Cabras FC's Arsenio Neyda made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Haroldo Partearroyo was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the match, Cabras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavierlada Benagassi came free, but Handi Linares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Ixona Albarez got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Handi Linares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 48th minute Xavierlada Benagassi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Handi Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavierlada Benagassi to make the kick off. Handi Linares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavierlada Benagassi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes FC Burgos got a freekick which was hit by Meder Muñana. 77 minutes into the match, FC Burgos's goal looked a bit too open when Tancredo Tio came free, but Haroldo Partearroyo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Handi Linares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Isidor Zamudio in the 81st minute of the match. If Tancredo Tio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Tancredo Tio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Haroldo Partearroyo was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. Meder Muñana's late challenge caught a Cabras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Meder Muñana helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cabras FC booed when FC Burgos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meder Muñana didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tancredo Tio in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Haroldo Partearroyo saved FC Burgos from getting behind. If Isidor Zamudio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute.
