After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abelardo Arambarri was the one to do the kick off. The Los gordos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Caetano Biñe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 84 minutes into the match, Los gordos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Valencina came free, but Caetano Biñe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Soin Viaña took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Sobero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rik Chasco fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético River Plate's protests and gave Rik Chasco a yellow card for diving instead. After 91 played minutes Club Atlético River Plate got a freekick which was hit by Rik Chasco. Los gordos walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
