Mauro Ayerdi was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Iraido Agustin came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the San Luis CD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Iraido Agustin couldn't finish the play. In the 46th minute, Cuarto Urrechua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

If Nabar Martijana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mauro Ayerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Narciso Lujarra, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Iraido Agustin kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Leon Gauna was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 67th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Vinicio Lecuona scored 4-0 in the 89th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Ayerdi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Narciso Lujarra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
