In the 16th minute Xacintu Maide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Isidoro Cadenas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidoro Cadenas was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Xacintu Maide capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Xacintu Maide really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Isidoro Cadenas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xacintu Maide in the 24th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Jirripta's goal looked a bit too open when Xacintu Maide came free, but Isidoro Cadenas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mauro Ayerdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benvido Vaca in the 34th minute of the match. Garikoitz Berria sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benvido Vaca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute, Lizer Elenes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Garikoitz Berria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Cidro Viniambres mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palotal and the Jirripta players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Palotal's Cidro Viniambres got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Benvido Vaca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mauro Ayerdi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Garikoitz Berria went, in the 48th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Benvido Vaca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Xacintu Maide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Palotal's Afonso Borjas got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th minute, Xacintu Maide made a precise shot to the right of Isidoro Cadenas. Jirripta's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Palotal's zone, Benvido Vaca stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mauro Ayerdi came out of the goal and Benvido Vaca tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Benvido Vaca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauro Ayerdi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benvido Vaca, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Garikoitz Berria scored 2-2 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauro Ayerdi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
