After having played for 11 minutes, Pueblo Rubi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Algarrabo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pueblo Rubi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josu Egaña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yoel Aranzabal in the 12th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Algarrabo's Pueblo Rubi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josu Egaña narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yoel Aranzabal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Josu Egaña tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josu Egaña showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yoel Aranzabal, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The Algarrabo fans' excitement grew in the 32nd match minute when Algarrabo's Pueblo Rubi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Algarrabo's Pueblo Rubi got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pueblo Rubi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josu Egaña having to interfere. After 43 minutes, Rutenio Obieso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fran FC and the Algarrabo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Fran FC got a freekick which was hit by Rutenio Obieso. The supporters of Algarrabo booed when Fran FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belmiro Baca didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pueblo Rubi to make the kick off. Josu Egaña stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pueblo Rubi's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Yoel Aranzabal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josu Egaña having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded Algarrabo left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fran FC.
