Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Xabel Palmades successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Susagua's Xabel Palmades proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Susagua from getting a goal against them. Bucaramanga's Marcelino Pedrosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reimundo Lahoz in the 29th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Juan-Alfredo Rebollo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bucaramanga's Marcelino Pedrosa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marcelino Pedrosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Rebollo, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Susagua were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Bucaramanga's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fortunato Coteron took the corner. Susagua's Fortunato Coteron was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelino Pedrosa in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. A collision led to Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Claude Miguelez hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Matei Acenero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice moves Reimundo Lahoz could shoot a difficult shot in the 52nd minute, which Marcelino Pedrosa however easily saved by the left post. After 53 played minutes Bucaramanga got a freekick which was hit by Ignado Envito. In the 55th minute of the match Moncho Gañona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xabel Palmades showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Bucaramanga's zone, Reimundo Lahoz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcelino Pedrosa came out of the goal and Reimundo Lahoz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 62 minutes of play, Susagua's Reimundo Lahoz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Pedrosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! 73 minutes into the game, Susagua's Reimundo Lahoz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcelino Pedrosa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Ignado Envito hit a great ball. Reimundo Lahoz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Marcelino Pedrosa made a huge save. After 84 played minutes Susagua got a freekick which was hit by Yaniusky Bildosteguy. Matei Acenero blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xabel Palmades having to make a save. 92 minutes into the game, Ignado Envito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bucaramanga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Susagua the free kick. The supporters of Susagua booed when Bucaramanga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignado Envito didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Susagua players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
