But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavion Bizoso couldn't finish the play. Balzac FC's Chorache Magdalena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Balzac FC from getting a goal against them. If Xavion Bizoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Balzac FC's zone, Haimar Reboyras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chorache Magdalena came out of the goal and Haimar Reboyras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Chico Olmedilla during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Balzac FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chico Olmedilla to maneuver through the defense. Xavion Bizoso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haimar Reboyras might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chorache Magdalena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Haimar Reboyras ran back to his position shaking his head. Chorache Magdalena made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Haimar Reboyras sent off a good shot on target. Haimar Reboyras struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Chorache Magdalena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colombia. After 44 played minutes Balzac FC got a freekick which was hit by Chico Olmedilla. Santio Torrea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xanti Montalban having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Chorache Magdalena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Flor Matanza kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Haimar Reboyras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavion Bizoso spun around in front of the goal 63 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Balzac FC's goal. In the 64th match minute, Balzac FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flor Matanza to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Xavion Bizoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chorache Magdalena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Haimar Reboyras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colombia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haimar Reboyras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 69 minutes into the game, Colombia's Haimar Reboyras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chorache Magdalena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. A collision led to Colombia getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Xinto Cullar hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Xinto Cullar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Colombia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balzac FC the free kick. The supporters of Balzac FC booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xinto Cullar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chico Olmedilla blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xanti Montalban having to make a save. Chorache Magdalena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haimar Reboyras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
