Sebastiano Moxi came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Gramoven's Pascual Llorente. But to his dismay, Pascual Llorente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pascual Llorente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernat Lezcano got free with Lope Viurra in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Bernat Lezcano took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Lope Viurra to make any attempt to save it. In the 35th minute, Gramoven's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Bernat Lezcano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pepillo Puerto made a kick off. The Deportivo Pereira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sebastiano Moxi should have stopped the shot. Lope Viurra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pepillo Puerto, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The Gramoven supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gramoven would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
