Eugenio Campano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Orti Manzanares, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 16 played minutes Nuevaquilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliu Barrallo. In the 16th minute of the match Dayam Sara sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Honrio Saribiarte skillfully saved the ball. Yader Rioja fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Honrio Saribiarte having to interfere. Orti Manzanares received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eugenio Campano came out and tried to block the shot, but Orti Manzanares slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 21st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quilo Cabada got free with Eugenio Campano in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Xavies Robles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Metropolis FC's Xavies Robles got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Yader Rioja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Nuevaquilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavies Robles came free, but Honrio Saribiarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 42 minutes, Ponce Claudio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nuevaquilla FC and the Metropolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 42 minutes into the game, one of Nuevaquilla FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Nuevaquilla FC:s Honrio Saribiarte showed great skill when he stopped Dayam Sara:s penalty. Yader Rioja recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Xavies Robles succeeded in the game's 48th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 59th minute, Nuevaquilla FC's Bonifacio Larrinzar seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bonifacio Larrinzar the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Nuevaquilla FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bonifacio Larrinzar had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. When the match had been going on for 61 minutes, Metropolis FC's Dayam Sara got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Honrio Saribiarte. 65 minutes into the match, Nuevaquilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yader Rioja came free, but Honrio Saribiarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quilo Cabada's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Campano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Quilo Cabada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Eugenio Campano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Milian Bodega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honrio Saribiarte had great luck who in the 78thth minute grab hold of the ball when Yader Rioja from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Yader Rioja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Honrio Saribiarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Metropolis FC defense, Quilo Cabada kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eugenio Campano. The Metropolis FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eugenio Campano should have stopped the shot. If Quinten Arnero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Honrio Saribiarte made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Xavies Robles sent off a good shot on target. When Quilo Cabada came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Nuevaquilla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Quilo Cabada couldn't finish the play. Nereo Morquera hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Xavies Robles managed to get in a good position for a shot. Metropolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Xavies Robles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Honrio Saribiarte breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Metropolis FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Nuevaquilla FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
