After 12 played minutes Scorpions FC got a freekick which was hit by Emilio Fortuño. In the 13th minute of the match Cordarrol Mobellan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gonzo Arandojo skillfully saved the ball. A hard shot by Lawrence Gaona from long distance, 14 minutes into the match, got Genaro Astozas's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 18th minute Gaitan Vilela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gonzo Arandojo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Genaro Astozas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Carbajal in the 22nd minute of play. Genaro Astozas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Felipe Carbajal showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

A collision led to Scorpions FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Lawrence Gaona hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Gaitan Vilela's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gonzo Arandojo was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Genaro Astozas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Suero Briseño in the 63rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Scorpions FC's zone, Loi Guera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzo Arandojo came out of the goal and Loi Guera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gaitan Vilela came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Pimbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaitan Vilela couldn't finish the play. Cordarrol Mobellan hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Genaro Astozas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferran Nebot in the 79th minute of the match. Gonzo Arandojo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaitan Vilela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the game, Pimbi's Loi Guera nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gonzo Arandojo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Scorpions FC's zone, Loi Guera stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonzo Arandojo came out of the goal and Loi Guera tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Pimbi players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
