Benet Nuñez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Anuncibay kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Lluc Angostina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospin Olvera having to interfere. After 18 played minutes aguilas got a freekick which was hit by Lluc Angostina. Canor Nueva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eleder Ontavilla in the 20th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, aguilas's Ospin Olvera threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benet Nuñez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. aguilas's Canor Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleder Ontavilla in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind MILLONARIOS FC's goalkeeper Ospin Olvera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. aguilas's Canor Nueva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eleder Ontavilla in the 34th minute of play. Lluc Angostina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospin Olvera having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, MILLONARIOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Zeledon Anuncibay came free, but Ospin Olvera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benet Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospin Olvera having to interfere. In the 46th minute Benet Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ospin Olvera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurilio Camara during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of MILLONARIOS FC booed when aguilas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurilio Camara didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Benet Nuñez was the one to do the kick off. Eleder Ontavilla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Canor Nueva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Benet Nuñez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ospin Olvera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benet Nuñez's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. MILLONARIOS FC's Ospin Olvera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benet Nuñez in the 72nd minute of play. Benet Nuñez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ospin Olvera having to interfere. If Benet Nuñez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MILLONARIOS FC's Fero Partarroyo got a free kick in the 82nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, aguilas's Aristides Cicero tried to score from far away in the 87th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute Benet Nuñez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ospin Olvera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Silbestre Castañedo fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MILLONARIOS FC's protests and gave Silbestre Castañedo a yellow card for diving instead. aguilas were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
