After some careless play in the BARCELONA defense, Urko Gago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Phelipe Villarreal. The BARCELONA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Phelipe Villarreal should have stopped the shot. In the 11th minute, Savier Tazon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Petrigai Semprun didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cresencio Cembrana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phelipe Villarreal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, BARCELONA's goalkeeper Phelipe Villarreal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Savier Tazon. In the 18th minute Xian Velicia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicanor Sufiria saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ignacio Moure kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. When Savier Tazon came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Gesen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Savier Tazon couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cresencio Cembrana in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phelipe Villarreal saved BARCELONA from getting behind. Ignacio Moure kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Gesen's Nicanor Sufiria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocente Buedo in the 33rd minute of play. Nicanor Sufiria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xian Velicia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cresencio Cembrana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xian Velicia hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. When Cresencio Cembrana came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Gesen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cresencio Cembrana couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xian Velicia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Cresencio Cembrana, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 61 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Phelipe Villarreal was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Petrigai Semprun was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 64th minute, Petrigai Semprun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corderun Cardigondi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Phelipe Villarreal. BARCELONA's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Cresencio Cembrana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phelipe Villarreal having to interfere. If Savier Tazon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nel Velayo during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nel Velayo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match.
