Jorrin Abaurre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes of play, Deportivo Pereira's Joaquin Ocouto made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorrin Abaurre was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joaquin Ocouto to strike the kick off in the second half. Mac 1983 FC's Jorrin Abaurre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guillelme Olando in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquin Ocouto in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorrin Abaurre saved Mac 1983 FC from getting behind. Jorrin Abaurre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquin Ocouto in the 58th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillelme Olando in the 64th minute of play forced Mac 1983 FC's goalkeeper Jorrin Abaurre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ceandro Raedo's late challenge caught a Deportivo Pereira's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceandro Raedo helped the player get up and apologised. After 65 played minutes Mac 1983 FC got a freekick which was hit by Ceandro Raedo. Joaquin Ocouto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorrin Abaurre having to interfere.
