Spectators: 7538 (Terracing: 5655, Seating: 1733, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ruben Gustros kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Paulin Tostado came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Orlando Pride's Formerio Avila played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Gustros in the 6th minute of play. Ruben Gustros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Formerio Avila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Paulin Tostado came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Formerio Avila showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulin Tostado, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 20 minutes, Xoan Reina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Orlando Pride and the Maxi FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Orlando Pride was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xoan Reina to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulin Tostado in the 33rd minute of play forced Orlando Pride's goalkeeper Formerio Avila to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Formerio Avila took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruben Gustros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mouricio Reymondo scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Formerio Avila, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Paulin Tostado came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Maxi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulin Tostado couldn't finish the play. Mouricio Reymondo hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Kaxen Babiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Nuno Bojorquez made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Nuno Bojorquez made a precise shot to the right of Christian Villacanes. Maxi FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 58th minute, Maxi FC's Ruben Gustros ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Formerio Avila. Formerio Avila yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Kaxen Babiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xoan Reina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Villacanes having to interfere. When Nuno Bojorquez came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Orlando Pride fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Bojorquez couldn't finish the play. Xoan Reina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Christian Villacanes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Formerio Avila made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Mouricio Reymondo sent off a good shot on target. After 73 played minutes Orlando Pride got a freekick which was hit by Xoan Reina. With a little luck, Orlando Pride's Formerio Avila got control of the ball when Paulin Tostado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Formerio Avila made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mouricio Reymondo in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Frans Sañudo came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 80 minutes on the clock, Erroman Tubia commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 80 minutes into the game, one of Orlando Pride:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 86 minutes into the match, Orlando Pride's goal looked a bit too open when Ruben Gustros came free, but Formerio Avila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Tolentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Maxi FC's zone, Nuno Bojorquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Christian Villacanes came out of the goal and Nuno Bojorquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christian Villacanes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xoan Reina in the 97th minute of play. Paulin Tostado's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Formerio Avila firmly grabbed it by the left post. The Maxi FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maxi FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
