Spectators: 6732 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1732, VIP seats: 0) Celestino Unzueta started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Celestino Unzueta came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Volcondia FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celestino Unzueta couldn't finish the play. Volcondia FC's Eloi Marzana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frances Palomarez in the 9th minute of play. Eloi Marzana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frances Palomarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guilherme Belber could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Astigar Tijerina made a huge save. Guilherme Belber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Astigar Tijerina having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Celestino Unzueta rounded Atlético Bucaramanga's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. Atlético Bucaramanga's Astigar Tijerina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celestino Unzueta in the 21st minute of play. Frances Palomarez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frances Palomarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Eloi Marzana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bilbo Pillado kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Martxot Malsepica during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Atlético Bucaramanga booed when Volcondia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martxot Malsepica didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ladislao Berrios, 31 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Volcondia FC's Hunfredo Caceo got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Guaberto Romillo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 47th minute Frances Palomarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eloi Marzana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frances Palomarez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bernal Espinar got free with Eloi Marzana in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 54 played minutes Volcondia FC got a freekick which was hit by Celestino Unzueta. Eloi Marzana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frances Palomarez, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Volcondia FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ladislao Berrios was slow to take the kick. During this time Atlético Bucaramanga's players had a chance to rest. Celestino Unzueta charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celestino Unzueta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Atlético Bucaramanga getting a freekick after 70 minutes play.
