The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donatello Digon hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Cedro Centeñes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chuan Agrelo in the 3rd minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Tumarapo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hegoi Lagos came free, but Procopio Tovilleja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 8 played minutes Wolves FC got a freekick which was hit by Evaristo Isurieta. After 10 played minutes Wolves FC got a freekick which was hit by Donatello Digon. Cedro Centeñes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Errapel Batalle in the 12th minute of play. Procopio Tovilleja showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Evaristo Isurieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chuan Agrelo in the 19th minute of play forced Wolves FC's goalkeeper Cedro Centeñes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Procopio Tovilleja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evaristo Isurieta in the 43rd minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, one of Tumarapo FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 45th minute there was a penalty for Wolves FC. Hegoi Lagos stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Procopio Tovilleja. 1-2. When Hegoi Lagos came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Wolves FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hegoi Lagos couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chuan Agrelo to make the kick off. After 53 minutes, Errapel Batalle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tumarapo FC and the Wolves FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball had pretty good speed, but Procopio Tovilleja firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 92nd minute, Wolves FC's Donatello Digon ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Procopio Tovilleja. Procopio Tovilleja yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-4. Evaristo Isurieta hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the match was over Wolves FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tumarapo FC throughout the match.
