The referee ignored Florinda FC's protests and gave Bastia Benito a yellow card for diving instead. Girardot's Sazon Sotorrio got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Montrelle Iriarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gregory Negrete hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. 20 minutes into the game, Oskarbi Leceta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Florinda FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Girardot the free kick. After 20 played minutes Florinda FC got a freekick which was hit by Oskarbi Leceta. Florinda FC's Cris Mambliga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sazon Sotorrio in the 21st minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Girardot's Sazon Sotorrio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cris Mambliga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cris Mambliga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Montrelle Iriarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 36 played minutes Florinda FC got a freekick which was hit by Lauren Moreyre. In the 37th minute, Ignacio Sedeño sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Florinda FC's Cris Mambliga didn't even have to move. After having played for 40 minutes, Sazon Sotorrio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Girardot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sazon Sotorrio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Girardot's Ignacio Sedeño broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The Florinda FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Girardot were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Sazon Sotorrio made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Montrelle Iriarte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Girardot's supporters rose to their feet, but Montrelle Iriarte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cris Mambliga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 55 minutes in the game, Sazon Sotorrio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Cris Mambliga having to interfere. In the last second Cris Mambliga throw himself and got hold of the ball when Sazon Sotorrio in the 60thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Florinda FC's zone, Sazon Sotorrio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cris Mambliga came out of the goal and Sazon Sotorrio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iruinea Viñales hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Sazon Sotorrio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sarracino Hernandez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batista Moracia having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Sazon Sotorrio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cris Mambliga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sazon Sotorrio in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sazon Sotorrio in the 77th minute of play forced Florinda FC's goalkeeper Cris Mambliga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Montrelle Iriarte's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Cris Mambliga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the game, one of Florinda FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Cris Mambliga, was totally fooled by Girardot's Ignacio Sedeño, who 89 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 93rd minute, Lauren Moreyre hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th match minute, Florinda FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Illan Abecia to maneuver through the defense.
