In the 24th minute Matei Arrugueta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rencio Otal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lizzone's Rigoberto Zubillaga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edson Calderero in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Lizzone booed when Chancos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sansone Vaya didn't get a good kick on the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Edson Calderero was the one to do the kick off. After 68 minutes, Saturnino Sorribes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chancos and the Lizzone players grew even worse after the yellow card.
