The supporters of FC America De Cali S.A. booed when Lizzone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lizbeth Mazarredo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rigoberto Zubillaga acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 8th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Rubio Gamiz. Rigoberto Zubillaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Casado Gegunde in the 15th minute. With an all-out effort, FC America De Cali S.A.'s Rigoberto Zubillaga threw himself towards the right post 16 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Godofredo Platas, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 18th minute, Donato Juanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Casado Gegunde got free with Rigoberto Zubillaga in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rigoberto Zubillaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Platas in the 27th minute of play. In the 30th minute Matei Arrugueta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baudelio Blas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Lizzone getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Perez Padin hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes Lizzone got a freekick which was hit by Nofre Asencion. In the 40th minute, Matei Arrugueta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Baudelio Blas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Lizzone's Matei Arrugueta got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Matei Arrugueta made the kick off in the second half. Matei Arrugueta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baudelio Blas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Lizzone's Perez Padin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Baudelio Blas. That made the score 1-2 after 53 minutes of play. Rigoberto Zubillaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Casado Gegunde in the 64th minute of play. FC America De Cali S.A.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rubio Gamiz in the 68th minute. After taking down the ball on FC America De Cali S.A.'s corner Rubio Gamiz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Rigoberto Zubillaga quite easily take care of the ball. Rubio Gamiz succeeded in the game's 68th minute to get real power on a long shot . Lizzone's Rigoberto Zubillaga hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-3! If Matei Arrugueta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Baudelio Blas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Valdivielso, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. In the 77th match minute, FC America De Cali S.A. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edur Tijero to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Nofre Asencion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 79thth minute of the game Matei Arrugueta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC America De Cali S.A.'s Baudelio Blas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Matei Arrugueta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lizzone's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC America De Cali S.A. the free kick. A collision led to Lizzone getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Matei Arrugueta hit a great ball. After having played for 85 minutes, Lizbeth Mazarredo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lizzone's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lizbeth Mazarredo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lizbeth Mazarredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baudelio Blas having to interfere. In the 91st minute of the match Perez Padin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baudelio Blas skillfully saved the ball. Baudelio Blas acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 92nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Edelmiro Larez. Matei Arrugueta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Baudelio Blas made a huge save. When the final whistle sounded Lizzone left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC America De Cali S.A..
