The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Berriotxoa Morente managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Topaipi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Berriotxoa Morente was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ur Sobarzo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lesardo Sovera in the 5th minute of play. The supporters of Topaipi booed when Galaxy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chaime Oliver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Efrain Cerdeiras, 11 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Goren Cepeda scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ur Sobarzo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 19 minutes, Lesardo Sovera mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galaxy and the Topaipi players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Basajaun Parada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rdth minute of the game Berriotxoa Morente who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galaxy's Eleazar Urguia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The tension between the Galaxy and the Topaipi players grew even worse after the yellow card. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Lesardo Sovera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lesardo Sovera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Ur Sobarzo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ur Sobarzo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Goren Cepeda sent off a good shot on target. Goren Cepeda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 2-0 became the score in the 44th minute when Goren Cepeda elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Berriotxoa Morente stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berriotxoa Morente couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Topaipi's goal looked a bit too open when Goren Cepeda came free, but Ur Sobarzo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galaxy were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Topaipi for a fine match.
