Quiroga's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Liberto Arlines struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Teodoro Espriella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quiroga. Indar Reguero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 17 in the game by Liberto Arlines from a close distance when the talented Teodoro Espriella managed to make a qualified save. BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s players were relieved. When Liberto Arlines came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Quiroga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Liberto Arlines couldn't finish the play. In the 37th match minute, Quiroga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Corderall Galanes to maneuver through the defense. Leonardo Pineros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s Quirce Pedronera got a free kick in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s zone, Liberto Arlines stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Espriella came out of the goal and Liberto Arlines tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute of the match Estebe Bayona sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Espriella skillfully saved the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Indar Reguero to make the kick off. Teodoro Espriella took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Liberto Arlines, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 minutes, Corderall Galanes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quiroga and the BEMPOSTEÑO F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s goalkeeper Teodoro Espriella, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
