Apolo Escobar charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Apolo Escobar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 10th minute of the game. One of Palogordo:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Coronado FC:s goal. 16 minutes into the match, Palogordo's goalkeeper Lartaun Porras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turi Buitron. Turi Buitron received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Lartaun Porras came out and tried to block the shot, but Turi Buitron slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Palogordo's goalkeeper Lartaun Porras had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Turi Buitron. Palogordo's Cornelio Palianza got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 23 minutes, Vicente Cean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coronado FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vicente Cean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Celso Pineros fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palogordo's protests and gave Celso Pineros a yellow card for diving instead. Turi Buitron could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Lartaun Porras made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernabel Tinoco in the 29th minute of play forced Palogordo's goalkeeper Lartaun Porras to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Pineros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helder Conti having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Turi Buitron got free with Lartaun Porras in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute Bernabel Tinoco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lartaun Porras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Palogordo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eufrasio Pedraza to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute of the match Coronado FC got a corner. Palogordo's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ishmael Juara ran over to the corner to take the kick. 48 minutes into the match, Palogordo's goal looked a bit too open when Turi Buitron came free, but Lartaun Porras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, Ronaldo Aballe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Cean might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lartaun Porras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vicente Cean ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Coronado FC's goal looked a bit too open when Celso Pineros came free, but Helder Conti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Turi Buitron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Palogordo's zone, Turi Buitron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lartaun Porras came out of the goal and Turi Buitron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Turi Buitron in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lartaun Porras prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernabel Tinoco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ronaldo Aballe during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cornelio Palianza in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Helder Conti, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Celso Pineros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronaldo Aballe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karmel Lobera hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute Turi Buitron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lartaun Porras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Coronado FC's Helder Conti got control of the ball when Cornelio Palianza tried to sneak it across the goal line. There was no doubt that Coronado FC were the better team. Coronado FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
