The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cefero Maneiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. One of Yutao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nueva Generación FC:s goal. But to his dismay, Ezkerra Umpanera quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Eugenio Matuta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leizarraga Yanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Leizarraga Yanes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cisco Morillas's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Galtero Salas firmly grabbed it by the left post. 42 minutes into the game, Andrew Loranza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yutao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nueva Generación FC the free kick. A collision led to Yutao getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Andrew Loranza hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Cisco Morillas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ezkerra Umpanera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Eugenio Matuta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Leonides Resamano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee ignored Nueva Generación FC's protests and gave Guerau Peñacerrada a yellow card for diving instead. After 72 played minutes Nueva Generación FC got a freekick which was hit by Guerau Peñacerrada. Galtero Salas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cisco Morillas's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Yutao's goalkeeper Eugenio Matuta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezkerra Umpanera. Yutao's Duarte Notes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leizarraga Yanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Matuta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play.
