The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Teodoro Espriella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabel Tinoco in the 9th minute of play. Turi Buitron blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teodoro Espriella having to make a save. Quirce Pedronera's late challenge caught a Coronado FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quirce Pedronera helped the player get up and apologised. After 11 played minutes BEMPOSTEÑO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Quirce Pedronera. Helder Conti showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xever Ventura in the 24th minute of the match. Turi Buitron took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Espriella. Teodoro Espriella dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Teodoro Espriella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Turi Buitron in the 37th minute of play. Bernabel Tinoco struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Teodoro Espriella didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coronado FC. Bernabel Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teodoro Espriella. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bernabel Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s Xever Ventura sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Helder Conti narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Xever Ventura made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s zone, Turi Buitron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Espriella came out of the goal and Turi Buitron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Xever Ventura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Helder Conti having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Coronado FC's Ronaldo Aballe got a free kick in the 66th minute. Teodoro Espriella made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernabel Tinoco in the 72nd minute of play. Turi Buitron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Espriella having to interfere. Ronaldo Aballe hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the match, BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s Alfredo Ozaeta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of BEMPOSTEÑO F.C. booed when Coronado FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Semeno Gudiel didn't get a good kick on the ball. BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s Xever Ventura got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, BEMPOSTEÑO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Bernabel Tinoco came free, but Teodoro Espriella reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Turi Buitron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indar Reguero in the 96th minute of play forced Coronado FC's goalkeeper Helder Conti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The BEMPOSTEÑO F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Coronado FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Coronado FC.
