In the 16th minute Marquez Artime shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorrin Urrutia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tancredo Cora stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tancredo Cora in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dimo Horcasitas saved Real Cartagena FC from getting behind. Dimo Horcasitas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tancredo Cora, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Astor Villacanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Dimo Horcasitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Astor Villacaness short, quick shot in the 64thth minute got Dimo Horcasitas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tancredo Cora in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dimo Horcasitas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Real Cartagena FC's zone, Astor Villacanes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dimo Horcasitas came out of the goal and Astor Villacanes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Astor Villacanes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Dimo Horcasitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
