Spectators: 7524 (Terracing: 5644, Seating: 1730, VIP seats: 150) SANTA FE's Joao Ilardia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tanio Salina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vedillo Espiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Froylan Zamarro during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 5 played minutes SANTA FE got a freekick which was hit by Froylan Zamarro. In the 6th minute, Txeru Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, SANTA FE's Ritchie Azpiroz got control of the ball when Garcia Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Txeru Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ritchie Azpiroz came out and tried to block the shot, but Txeru Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 15th minute. Tanio Salina took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joao Ilardia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Quinten Durango in the 20th minute of play forced Cafeteros's goalkeeper Tanio Salina to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Joao Ilardia made a precise shot to the right of Tanio Salina. Cafeteros's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. The audience was convinced that Joao Ilardia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tanio Salina was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. In the 27th minute, Roegelio Tablada reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ritchie Azpiroz. The goal made the score 2-1. In the 37th minute, Garcia Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3-1 became the score in the 39th minute when Txeru Almeida elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. SANTA FE's Froylan Zamarro got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Froylan Zamarro off the ground. After 43 played minutes SANTA FE got a freekick which was hit by Froylan Zamarro. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Garcia Fonseca in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ritchie Azpiroz saved SANTA FE from getting behind. In the 55th match minute, Cafeteros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roegelio Tablada to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SANTA FE's Yaniusky Munaya tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Quinten Durango got free with Tanio Salina in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Garcia Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Quinten Durango was extremely unlucky when he, in the 72nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 73rd minute, Cafeteros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vedillo Espiga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Quinten Durango managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANTA FE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cafeteros the free kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cafeteros fans cheered their team off the field, for while SANTA FE had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
