Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Colon Borica started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Colon Borica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 8 minutes into the match, Cuchara's goal looked a bit too open when Isusko Caballeiro came free, but Gomez Rodero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Colon Borica managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cuchara's supporters rose to their feet, but Colon Borica was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teofilo Urquiaga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beila Isoba hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Macapay FC's Telesforo Iribarren in 15 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Gomez Rodero guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 19 played minutes Cuchara got a freekick which was hit by Beila Isoba. Gauargi Nieva shot from long distance in the 20th minute, but Gomez Rodero was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 21st minute, Telesforo Iribarren fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Isusko Caballeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beila Isoba's late challenge caught a Macapay FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Beila Isoba helped the player get up and apologised. Beila Isoba kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Macapay FC's Telesforo Iribarren got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Cuchara getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Claude Fontoria hit a great ball. Isusko Caballeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Gomez Rodero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pello Mediavilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teofilo Urquiaga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Isusko Caballeiro made the kick off in the second half. Teofilo Urquiaga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pello Mediavilla in the 52nd minute. After 54 played minutes Macapay FC got a freekick which was hit by Argenis Darroja. In the 56th minute Isusko Caballeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomez Rodero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colon Borica struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Teofilo Urquiaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuchara. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Colon Borica in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teofilo Urquiaga saved Macapay FC from getting behind. Gomez Rodero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isusko Caballeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Isusko Caballeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomez Rodero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute Colon Borica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Urquiaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Telesforo Iribarren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Colon Borica received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Teofilo Urquiaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Cuchara defense, Telesforo Iribarren kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gomez Rodero. The Cuchara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gomez Rodero should have stopped the shot. Cuchara's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
