Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Aloisio Castaños started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 5th minute Erasto Masa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Etxahun Muriedas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cosme Figueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cosme Figueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Santana Murieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to América fc getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Loiola Cascales hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the game, Ihazintu Chinchilla cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Etxahun Muriedas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. América fc's Santana Murieta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save América fc from getting a goal against them. Aloisio Castaños received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Santana Murieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santana Murieta came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Marengo FC's Cosme Figueira. But to his dismay, Cosme Figueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Erasto Masa made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Melchor Cimbrelo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santana Murieta was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Etxahun Muriedas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erasto Masa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Etxahun Muriedas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ihazintu Chinchilla in the 56th minute. Erasto Masa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Etxahun Muriedas having to interfere. Aloisio Castaños sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the América fc defense, Cosme Figueira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santana Murieta. The América fc fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santana Murieta should have stopped the shot. If Aloisio Castaños had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Melchor Cimbrelo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Melchor Cimbrelo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 80 played minutes Marengo FC got a freekick which was hit by Melchor Cimbrelo. Etxahun Muriedas was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Erasto Masa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 81 minute of play. The referee gave Marengo FC a penalty, 87 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Godofredo Fontoya, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of América fc's Santana Murieta. 4-2. In the 94th minute, Aloisio Castaños left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Marengo FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Marengo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while América fc had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
