The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patxi Braña during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Jeren getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Patxi Braña hit a great ball. Jeren's Egoitz Acaron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Jeren from getting a goal against them. Edgard Loriga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Polo, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Jeren's Caetano Polo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Edgard Loriga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauricio Vallines did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Egoitz Acaron 23 minutes into the match. In the 27th minute, Mauricio Vallines ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Egoitz Acaron was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mauricio Vallines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egoitz Acaron having to interfere. Caetano Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Edgard Loriga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Augusto Cintron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Caetano Polo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Edgard Loriga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Gibraltar FC's Firmo Miranes got a free kick in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute of the match Manel Arraña shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgard Loriga showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 42 played minutes, Jeren's Leoncio Bedoya shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edgard Loriga came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Jeren reached it. 48 minutes into the game, Mauricio Vallines lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Egoitz Acaron.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Vallines was the one to do the kick off. Egoitz Acaron took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tonete Posiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Firmo Miranes hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Tonete Posiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Mauricio Vallines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Gibraltar FC getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Mauricio Vallines hit a great ball. In the 66th match minute, Gibraltar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leizarraga Cervera to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Leoncio Bedoya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tonete Posiga scored 4-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Egoitz Acaron, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 74 minutes into the game, Gibraltar FC's Mauricio Vallines nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egoitz Acaron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. 82 minutes into the match, Jeren's goal looked a bit too open when Tonete Posiga came free, but Egoitz Acaron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Egoitz Acaron showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Vallines in the 88th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute of the match, Caetano Polo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Edgard Loriga saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a rather tough play, Jeren's Leoncio Bedoya got a free kick in the 94th minute. Egoitz Acaron showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateo Avendaño, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Caetano Polo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgard Loriga having to interfere. Jeren's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
