Ximen Falla kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. 0-2 became the score in the 36th minute when Mauricio Vallines elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Cambranes Montarco fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gibraltar FC's protests and gave Cambranes Montarco a yellow card for diving instead. After 39 played minutes Gibraltar FC got a freekick which was hit by Cambranes Montarco. If Tonete Posiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cruz Milla stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tonete Posiga's shot from short distance in the 49th minute. The Stark FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Gibraltar FC were winning 0-2.

When Leizarraga Cervera fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gibraltar FC's protests and gave Leizarraga Cervera a yellow card for diving instead. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gibraltar FC! The referee gave Stark FC a penalty, 60 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Conrado Analla, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Gibraltar FC's Edgard Loriga. 1-2. Tonete Posiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Cruz Milla when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Mauricio Vallines came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Gibraltar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauricio Vallines couldn't finish the play. In the 78th minute, Mauricio Vallines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cruz Milla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mauricio Vallines showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 80 minute of play. In the 90th minute, Mauricio Vallines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Mauricio Vallines shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cruz Milla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Mauricio Vallines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mauricio Vallines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gibraltar FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
