The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Joanes Orihuela came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the La guayaba Mecanica 2.0 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joanes Orihuela couldn't finish the play. Apolo Talaga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuelo Roca in the 8th minute of play. In the 10th minute of the match Yiyo Bolado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Apolo Talaga skillfully saved the ball. Apolo Talaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuelo Roca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabino Olarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luke Carabia having to interfere. Artaldo Cogollor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Apolo Talaga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Manuelo Roca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jerigua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Manuelo Roca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerigua FC's Manuelo Roca got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Apolo Talaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artaldo Cogollor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 33 minutes into the match, Jerigua FC's goalkeeper Luke Carabia had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joanes Orihuela. Luke Carabia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabino Olarte in the 41st minute of the match. If Manuelo Roca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joanes Orihuela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Luke Carabia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Manuelo Roca made the kick off in the second half. Artaldo Cogollor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Apolo Talaga having to interfere. If Gabino Olarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After recieving a nice pass, La guayaba Mecanica 2.0's Stephen Anaya tried to score from far away in the 76th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 80 minutes into the game, Feliberto Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jerigua FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La guayaba Mecanica 2.0 the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Jerigua FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Loyola to maneuver through the defense. La guayaba Mecanica 2.0's Gabino Olarte got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Jerigua FC's Manuelo Roca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Apolo Talaga. Apolo Talaga yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Luke Carabia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabino Olarte in the 95th minute of play. The La guayaba Mecanica 2.0 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jerigua FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Jerigua FC.
