Spectators: 6745 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Orain Zubillaga started the match with the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chan Miel in the 5th minute of play forced River Plate Fortaleza's goalkeeper Estefan Basagoitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th match minute, Sport United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txilar Gordo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Orain Zubillaga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Plate Fortaleza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orain Zubillaga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eder Giraldez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txilar Urraburu having to interfere. Eder Giraldez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Txilar Urraburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xefe Coloma blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Txilar Urraburu having to make a save. Eder Giraldez came free with the goalkeeper in the 24th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Txilar Urraburu could save by the left post. After 26 played minutes River Plate Fortaleza got a freekick which was hit by Generosb Cardiel. Estefan Basagoitia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txilar Gordo in the 33rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chan Miel in the 35th minute of play forced River Plate Fortaleza's goalkeeper Estefan Basagoitia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Sport United's Reimundo Urtuuste sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Estefan Basagoitia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Reimundo Urtuuste received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Estefan Basagoitia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chan Miel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Chan Miel to make the kick off. If Reimundo Urtuuste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute Chan Miel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estefan Basagoitia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chan Miel might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Estefan Basagoitia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chan Miel ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 67 minutes, Reimundo Urtuuste managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reimundo Urtuuste was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reimundo Urtuuste could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Estefan Basagoitia made a huge save. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by River Plate Fortaleza's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Claude Maestu was slow to take the kick. During this time Sport United's players had a chance to rest. Ekhi Suero was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Sport United's Txilar Urraburu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orain Zubillaga in the 81st minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Sport United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txilar Gordo to maneuver through the defense. In the 86th minute, Vinicio Beysama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Claude Maestu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Chan Miel came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sport United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chan Miel couldn't finish the play. The Sport United players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented River Plate Fortaleza from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
