When Prospero Mijares came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the M&M fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Prospero Mijares couldn't finish the play. Anton Alborza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Bergas in the 43rd minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Telo Ochagavia made a kick off. In the 67th minute, Armando Bergas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Anton Alborza. The goal made the score 1-2. 70 minutes into the game, Makarios FC's Telo Ochagavia nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anton Alborza made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Telo Ochagavia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Anton Alborza made a huge save. After 80 minutes of play M&M's Felo Laranga was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. If Nuno Fresco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 87 minutes into the match Telo Ochagavia climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-4 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Anton Alborza. In the 92nd minute, Nastasio Rey ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anton Alborza was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Makarios FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
