When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Eguerdi Ferreras put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Montrel Granell. Ferrer Castaneda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Juan Mirafuentes made a huge save. Juan Mirafuentes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 24th minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. Juan Mirafuentes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolfo Cobreros's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 33rd minute, but Juan Mirafuentes got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Brillantilla FC hanging dry this time. The supporters of Fortul FC booed when Brillantilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Markvincent Trevilla didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Brillantilla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Cobreros came free, but Juan Mirafuentes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, one of Fortul FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Fortul FC. Octavio Lombana walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Ferrer Castaneda scored 3-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Juan Mirafuentes, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Adrian Cadena hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 49 minutes into the game, Malvin Maimo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brillantilla FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fortul FC the free kick. After 49 played minutes Brillantilla FC got a freekick which was hit by Malvin Maimo. Fortul FC's Gasteiz Naveda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 50th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Brillantilla FC.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adrian Cadena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Adrian Cadena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eguerdi Ferreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montrel Granell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrian Cadena in the 65th minute of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Brillantilla FC's goalkeeper Juan Mirafuentes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fortul FC's Montrel Granell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrian Cadena in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes Fortul FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Octavio Lombana who took care of the corner kick. Eguerdi Ferreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Montrel Granell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adrian Cadena's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Adrian Cadena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eguerdi Ferreras got free with Montrel Granell in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferrer Castaneda in the 94th minute of play forced Brillantilla FC's goalkeeper Juan Mirafuentes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brillantilla FC's Juan Mirafuentes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ferrer Castaneda in the 98th minute of play. Brillantilla FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
