Anton Alborza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cordarrell Govelo in the 4th minute of play. A collision led to M&M getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Rojelio Gallostegui hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Cordarrell Govelo sped through M&M's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Anton Alborza. 22 minutes into the game, Fe Rellan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mediodia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave M&M the free kick. The supporters of M&M booed when Mediodia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fe Rellan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mediodia's Oriol Theas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Mediodia from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Mediodia's Oriol Theas got control of the ball when Prospero Mijares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Prospero Mijares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Mediodia were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sabin Carrera to make the kick off. Fagondo Laiseca might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anton Alborza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fagondo Laiseca ran back to his position shaking his head. Sabin Carrera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Ruy Padierna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anton Alborza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Oriol Theas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Carrera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 80 minutes, Ruy Padierna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mediodia and the M&M players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 80 played minutes Mediodia got a freekick which was hit by Ruy Padierna. After a defensive mix-up in M&M's zone, Cordarrell Govelo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Alborza came out of the goal and Cordarrell Govelo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The M&M fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mediodia were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
