A collision led to M&M getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Prospero Mijares hit a great ball. Telo Ochagavia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Anton Alborza made a huge save. After some careless play in the Makarios FC defense, Sabin Carrera kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quirce Lopidana. The Makarios FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quirce Lopidana should have stopped the shot. Rico Trasgallo struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Anton Alborza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Makarios FC. Telo Ochagavia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Anton Alborza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 14th minute, one of M&M:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for M&M. The goalkeeper, Anton Alborza, was totally fooled by Makarios FC's Telo Ochagavia, who 15 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. With a little luck, M&M's Anton Alborza got control of the ball when Nastasio Rey tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of M&M booed when Makarios FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Palenzuela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sugoi Masferrer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Quirce Lopidana. Makarios FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Quirce Lopidana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Carrera in the 24th minute of the match. After some careless play in the M&M defense, Nastasio Rey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anton Alborza. The M&M fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anton Alborza should have stopped the shot. M&M's Anton Alborza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telo Ochagavia in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Armando Bergas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nastasio Rey struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Anton Alborza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Makarios FC. In the 39th match minute, Makarios FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rico Trasgallo to maneuver through the defense. After 43 played minutes M&M got a freekick which was hit by Matro Orbe. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Ochagavia in the 46th minute of play forced M&M's goalkeeper Anton Alborza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

In the 53rd minute, Makarios FC's Pablo Viergol seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Pablo Viergol the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Makarios FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Pablo Viergol had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Makarios FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 52nd minute. Penalty! Quirce Lopidana had in the 55thth minute some difficulties stopping Sugoi Masferrer's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 3-1 became the score in the 57th minute when Armando Bergas elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Anton Alborza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nastasio Rey, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Armando Bergas scored 4-1 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anton Alborza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Prospero Mijares during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, M&M's Sabin Carrera got a free kick in the 71st minute. Armando Bergas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Quirce Lopidana was a little too slow when Sabin Carrera got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 84th minute. The score was now 4-2. Anton Alborza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nuno Fresco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nastasio Rey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rico Trasgallo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Anton Alborza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Rico Trasgallo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anton Alborza. M&M's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rico Trasgallo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Rico Trasgallo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Makarios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Rico Trasgallo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Alborza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Makarios FC had played much better football throughout.
