Libertad Acutain was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 30 played minutes Aguayo got a freekick which was hit by Libertad Acutain. Perfecto Echavarria kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Blue Lock's Toro Briz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Aguayo. If Monte Iglesias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matia Zamarripa struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Pirro Turienzo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blue Lock. Aguayo's Jaen Gurruchaga suffered a sore thigh after 44 minutes and couldn't finish the game. During the 44th minute of the match Blasco Cepa completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Blasco Cepa a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Matia Zamarripa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pirro Turienzo having to make a save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 60 played minutes Aguayo got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Portal. Perfecto Echavarria hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 74th minute by Monte Iglesias got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 95 minutes into the match, Aguayo's goalkeeper Pirro Turienzo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Monte Iglesias. 97 minutes into the game, Robustiano Failde was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
