After a defensive mix-up in FC America de Cali's zone, Arnalt Horquizar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bastian Oliveros came out of the goal and Arnalt Horquizar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes into the match, FC America de Cali's goal looked a bit too open when Arnalt Horquizar came free, but Bastian Oliveros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arnalt Horquizar came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Marrirahu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnalt Horquizar couldn't finish the play. Arnalt Horquizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Bastian Oliveros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marrirahu FC's Vitin Barbadillo in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC America de Cali's goalie prevented a goal. After the first half Marrirahu FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The referee ignored Marrirahu FC's protests and gave Walme Torron a yellow card for diving instead. Walme Torron hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 61st minute, Calvino Rubio made a precise shot to the right of Matteo Benites. Marrirahu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 68th minute Bazil Ribacoba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matteo Benites saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vitin Barbadillo in the 72nd minute of play forced FC America de Cali's goalkeeper Bastian Oliveros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arnalt Horquizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hipolito Sala during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bastian Oliveros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When Bazil Ribacoba came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC America de Cali fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bazil Ribacoba couldn't finish the play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Marrirahu FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
