Albino Cotillo came out of the goal and Frutos Carrios tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Weather Bustos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albino Cotillo having to interfere. Valentim Pinedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeraldo Pablo, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Valentim Pinedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xuaco Labiaga in the 23rd minute of play. After 30 minutes, Uxio Caño mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antioquia FC and the Mahu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Albino Cotillo had in the 32ndth minute some difficulties stopping Cambranes Aramburu's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Mahu FC were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Antioquia FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cambranes Aramburu took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tonio Castejana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mahu FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tonio Castejana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albino Cotillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Albino Cotillo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Frutos Carrios sent off a good shot on target. Tonio Castejana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Tonio Castejana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albino Cotillo was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game.

Mahu FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
