Theodore Eguiluz ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Gipuzkoa Peinado managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aires Heraña to make the kick off. Mauro Averasturi struck a weak shot in the 55th minute.
