The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ponc Calderon during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Igon Govelo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Los mangos's Peruxu Eureste didn't even have to move. If Justino Capdevila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Peruxu Eureste showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Nisperos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucero Andinyach was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justino Capdevila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Braña having to interfere. With a little luck, Nisperos FC's Fabio Braña got control of the ball when Justino Capdevila tried to sneak it across the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
