Spectators: 7497 (Terracing: 5677, Seating: 1740, VIP seats: 80) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mouricio Amondo took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, INDEPENDIENTE FC's Rodolfo Padolles got a free kick in the 4th minute. Ignado Cortada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mouricio Amondo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Claris Lisarra managed to get in a good position for a shot. INDEPENDIENTE FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Claris Lisarra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rolado Velaostegui breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rumaldo Caldueño struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Rolado Velaostegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INDEPENDIENTE FC. 9 minutes into the game, Christian Bailey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Blacks's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave INDEPENDIENTE FC the free kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rumaldo Caldueño in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolado Velaostegui saved The Blacks from getting behind. 14 minutes into the game, Claris Lisarra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rolado Velaostegui was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arnalt Fole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute of the match, Arnalt Fole got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ignado Cortada was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 26 played minutes The Blacks got a freekick which was hit by Christian Bailey. In the 27th minute of the match Santio Reyero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rolado Velaostegui skillfully saved the ball. Efrain Malo kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FC's goalkeeper Ignado Cortada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arnalt Fole. Claris Lisarra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rolado Velaostegui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Blacks's Rolado Velaostegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rumaldo Caldueño in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute Mouricio Amondo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignado Cortada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claris Lisarra to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FC's goal looked a bit too open when Arnalt Fole came free, but Ignado Cortada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Precioso Asuaga kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Claris Lisarra received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rolado Velaostegui came out and tried to block the shot, but Claris Lisarra slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. If Arnalt Fole had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, The Blacks's Rolado Velaostegui got control of the ball when Rumaldo Caldueño tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arnalt Fole received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ignado Cortada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, INDEPENDIENTE FC's Claris Lisarra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rolado Velaostegui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Blacks's Rolado Velaostegui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claris Lisarra in the 81st minute of play. Mouricio Amondo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. INDEPENDIENTE FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
